Let the facts speak for themselves: Farnborough International Airshow 2016 Marcomms Campaign

The Farnborough International Airshow is one of the biggest aerospace trade events in the world. Every two years it requires a new cross channel marcomms campaign to drive sales and attendance globally. For 2016 Ouno made use of comprehensive market research data to deliver a hard hitting and effective infographic led campaign that used ‘facts-not-fiction’ to sell the show.

At the 2014 Farnborough International Airshow an amazing $305 billion of business was conducted within just five days. When you have facts like these at your fingertips you’d be crazy not to use them. So that’s exactly what we did!

Ouno’s concept for the 2016 trade visitor marcomms campaign relentlessly pushed a mass of superlative and powerful facts about the size, reach, scope and scale of this huge aerospace trade event.

We coupled bold use of typography with high contrast images that were in turn set against a powerful orange colour. The campaign was then rolled out across trade media advertising, printed collateral, events and exhibitions, video, online and social. The campaign got great cut through and reminded the industry and the public just how important this event is to the UK.
