EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY / New Scientist Live! exhibition
Ouno helps The European Space Agency inspire the next generation of astronauts, engineers and scientists at the popular New Scientist Live! event held at London Excel.
Following the success of the stand we produced for the 2016 event, our client the European Space Agency once again asked Ouno to create a large exhibition space for New Scientist Live 2017.
Our stand design was dominated by a towering video wall that displayed a mixed playlist of visually stunning ESA and partner organisation videos. It was used also to run live presentations from leading scientists and engineers to packed audiences.
To showcase the work of ESA partner organisations we deployed a range of models, mock-ups and interactives. A full scale mock-up of the third EDRS-SpaceDataHighway comms satellite (Airbus) sat next an model of the James Webb Space Telescope (RAL Space).
We installed a large touch table to showcase satellite innovation (UK Innovators Catapult) and the Mars Exorover demonstrator (Airbus) made a welcome return. Floating above it all was an illuminated model of the International Space Station.
The mix of attractions was a winning combination, drawing large numbers of visitors everyday, including the astronauts Tim Peake (ISS) and Al Worden (Apollo 15).
