COMMUNICATOR AWARDS / We win

Eagle-eyed clients may have noticed a new addition to our Ouno email signature – a golden statuette. ‘What’s this?’, we hear you ask. Well, Ouno Creative has been recognized at the Communicator Awards 2017 with a coveted Award of Excellence trophy from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts in New York, something we are more than happy to shout about.

The award was made for our work on the 3D projection mapping experience that we created for client GKN. The aerospace giant commissioned Ouno to create their Pavilion at the Farnborough Airshow 2016, and this double-award-winning digital magic show was the centrepiece of it all. Taking place in a small, purpose-built theatre, ‘Making Things Fly’ was an advanced 3D animation projection mapped onto a 5m model aircraft. The 3 minute presentation took visitors on a journey of discovery, highlighting the many technical and engineering achievements of GKN Aerospace. With over 6,000 entries, the Communicator Awards is the most competitive creative excellence awards program in the world, and are judged and overseen by a ‘Who’s Who’ of of the biggest and best in media, advertising and marketing.

“We are both excited and amazed by the quality of work,” noted Linda Day, Executive Director of the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, adding, “On behalf of the entire Academy I want to applaud this year’s Communicator Awards winners for their dedication to their craft as they continue to push the envelope of creativity.” Well done, us!
