FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW / Digital magazine and promo
A key part of the production process for First digital magazine app/website is to film a wide variety of footage on-site at FIA2014. This included interviews with company representatives on their stands, static and flying displays, meetings, conferences and much more.
This was really exciting for us as we were right in the thick of the action, working the halls, chalets, pavilions and flight line. We got some great interviews with pilots from the Red Arrows and the F-35 fighter programme as well as an interview with Carol Vordeman who was there for futures day! Rolls Royce invited Carol to the show to for their event “Who wants to be an engineer?”.
As mentioned we were also out and about shooting flying footage, using a very experienced camera crew armed with specialist long lenses. Once again we would like to give a big thanks to John Fry (Fry Films) and his team for all of their hard work. John managed multiple teams on site every day equipped with broadcast quality cameras and Go Pros for time lapse photography and in-cockpit recording.
He also made good use of a steadi-cam rig to get super smooth ‘camera-in-motion’ effects. Another key player on the Ouno video production team was Steve Connor who was based in our on-site editing suite in the media centre.
Steve co-ordinated all of the digital file management and on-site video editing duties. We had a great time filming and we are now reviewing the footage back at the office. Primarily the interview content will mainly be for First magazine, whilst the dynamic flying footage is destined for use in the FIA2016 promotional video.
