Ouno have kept a tight relationship with specialist engineering company Silicon Sensing since creating their hugely successful 2018 ‘Motion Evolution’ ad campaign. Inevitably, the time eventually came for a refresh – a new look, new messages and a new approach, to help them gear up for the next phase of their growth in 2021 and an increased use of digital channels.
After some intensive discussions, it emerged that Silicon Sensing had three core areas that we needed to target: technologies, products and applications – with a focus on key markets for their specialist guidance, navigation and stabilisation systems. Naturally, we were determined to build on the traction we’d gained with the first campaign and create a clear roadmap to fulfilling their new objectives.
Able, reliable, adaptable
For the 2021 campaign, part of our task was also to continue brand building across these sectors and applications, so our solution had to be evocative, and stand out against the background marketing noise. Our solution was to ensure that their message of reliability, adaptability and performance ‘in extremis’ would be seen, heard and understood intuitively.
Messaging in any environment
Bold and cinematic, Silicon Sensing’s new campaign is characterised by big, bold monolithic type fused into exciting, dramatic and wide open environments from vast blue skies to oceans of wheat; from deep seas to the outer reaches of space. The message? Motion sensing in any environment.
Space to breathe
In the foreground, we’re using brand new 3D product images, replacing the existing photography. This gives us ultimate control over the angle and lighting effects and allows us to render out new iterations at lightning speed.
And rather than fill our newly opened spaces with bullet pointed lists of features and benefits, we really let the fusion of type and imagery breathe, giving their audience the time and space to feel something. This works particularly well on the web, where advertising formats are small, and space is always at a premium.
Having set the stage with a whole suite of targeted ads, this campaign is now running at full speed, and will be rolling out throughout 2021 – as print adverts, HTML and animated web adverts, on social media, across new product launches, and at virtual and physical exhibitions.
