PIONEER THE FUTURE / Farnborough Airshow 2022 takes off

The run up to Farnborough International Airshow 2022 has begun! The campaign for the next Airshow was recently launched across multiple channels, with Ouno once again working with the Farnborough International team to bring it to life in what will be our 16th year with FIL (Farnborough International).

Throughout the last 18 months, the landscape of events has shifted out of necessity, with the emergence of digital and hybrid events becoming commonplace across the sector; including the introduction of FIA Connect. The shift in the way that audiences engage with events has required FIA2022 to meet their needs with more digital options.

Ouno’s brief was to create a unified visual identity as a hero campaign for the 2022 Airshow that encapsulated the key themes at the heart of FIA2022; Space, Defence, Sustainability, Future Flight and Innovation.

The digital environment and digital aircraft, coupled with the openness of the scene, free-flowing lines, strong colours and the warm glow add up to a new direction for the Airshow, and really help the brand stand out amongst competitors. We are using a slicker, more developed aircraft style, and plan to translate this across to other platforms and sectors to create a more fleshed out, wider ranging campaign over the coming months.

Part of the brief was to demonstrate that the master-brand tail works seamlessly across all FIA2022 executions to ensure the body of Farnborough International aerospace creative campaigns look like an integrated brand family. To this end, we began developing for FIL and FIECC earlier in the year using a holistic visual approach, and this integration of the brands continues.

Our creative showcases FIA2022’s position as a platform for demonstrating the pioneers bringing us the technology of tomorrow today, the market leaders sharing key insight that will shape the future of aerospace and the exceptional experience that people will have at the Airshow; with the enhanced suite of features and modern, future-facing themes.

More to come from us as we gear up for the big show in Summer 2022, but for now take a look at a few of the elements created so far.
