ADS Digital Cabin / A real innovation in B2B sales and marketing
It began with our vision of a 3D virtual space in which companies could showcase their products to buyers in a ‘real’ interactive setting. Once we’d developed the idea into a product, we got financial and market backing from ADS – the aerospace trade body – and the Digital Cabin was born.
Launched at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2021, the ADS Digital Cabin is a virtual marketplace for UK aircraft interiors companies who want to do business globally. OEMs and airline buyers move around a lifelike aircraft interior, exploring the technologies and capabilities from the exhibiting companies, rendered in 3D for a realistic perspective. The Digital Cabin is the most innovative way currently available to showcase and browse fit-out options from multiple suppliers. Users navigate via hotspots, and can utilise a device’s accelerometer for an owl’s-eye view. Our ‘secret’ ingredient is the innovative use of photo-realistic image projections onto the inside of linked orbital surfaces to create a lightning-fast web-based experience that other 3D technologies can’t match.
Every aspect of the cabin is customisable, so that whatever the product, the buyer can see it in situ. Lighting can be switched between day and night, and users can interact with products in 3D, in 360-degree images, and in video.
ADS represents over 1000 UK organisations in aerospace, defence, security and space sectors from Primes to SMEs including many aircraft interiors suppliers.
